The Comfort of Sound
Complete and total
Silence
Absolute calm
Not one note or rhythm in the air
To interrupt your thoughts
We want it
We crave it
We long for it
But we need
A sound
A whisper
A breath
A heartbeat
Something to remind us that
We're still alive
This is for the audio anthology, so any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

A long pause between "we long for it" and "but we need." Also...maybe (obviously) utter silence for the first part and then some found sound for the second part...record somebody breathing or unintelligible voices. That would sound cool behind this poem.
Thanks! Actually, I was kind of planning both those things (or at least, some sort of pause) but I never thought of voices. I think I'll probably do breathing or a heartbeat. Most likely breathing.
