This morning Frank shared an excerpt from John Irving's memoir Trying to Save Piggy Sneed. After listening to the memoir, the task was to take an event from your life, and change it.

Kolya left on the five o'clock plane. First, the orphans went to New York City. From there they got on a plane to Moscow. Kolya had been here for four weeks. We had loved every minute of the experience. As he left, Kolya sobbed and sobbed. Mom and I also did. "We will be coming to get you in one month," we explained to him, "and between now and then, we will send packages and call every week." We cried… and cried. The beautiful young boy who I called my brother had to go back to Russia. It was an Indian gift. Given to me, then snatched back. But it would all work out. One month later I would have the little brother I have always dreamed of having.
